What to Expect at Sessions

Initial Session:

Your first visit is a vital component in the development of your nutrition, health, and/or physical activity plan(s). The initial session includes a comprehensive assessment that will help me peel back the layers and pave the way for LO Solutions to provide successful services (and a great experience) for you. This vital meeting allows me the chance to learn who you are as a person (inside and out), taking into account the following: your sleep habits, sources of stress, support systems, food preferences, past exercise & diet experiences, supplement use, medications and medical diagnoses, cooking experiences, grocery store preferences, favorite forms of physical activity, job and community commitments, lifestyle, family/friends, and more.

I have heard time and time again that many individuals desire to transform themselves in just one or two sessions. However, experience has proven that it is extremely difficult to internalize all that we may discover together about your nutrition and fitness needs in the first session. Thus, I encourage you to think about where you are starting at now, and where you want to be.

LO Solutions recognizes that successful changes take time and I promise to work with you in a very efficient manner. Please keep in mind that similar to resolving issues with other credible healthcare professionals (like your physician, psychotherapist, or physical therapist), the nutrition and personal training services usually require more than one visit in order to advise you to the best of my ability, and develop appropriate plan(s) to meet your personal goals.

Follow Up Visits:

Follow up visits build on one another and experience has shown that success is better accomplished with regular accountability. That being said, it might vary how often we agree to see one another, from 1-2 times per week to 1-8 times (or more) per month. For some clients I am able to address their nutrition and fitness desires in as few as 3 visits (especially if it is more question/answer based, or they just want a few tips/ideas). For others, they may enjoy (and need) to see me for months or years - for continued support, inspiration, and renewed changes.

Most of my long term clients are working on both nutrition and physical activity, in some manner or another, depending on their unique needs at any particular point in time.  I take pride in making sure that clients leave each session feeling more empowered, uplifted, knowledgeable, and joyful, than when they walked in.
