Nutrition Services

Registered Dietitians (RDs), like Lila Ojeda, are the only qualified health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat diet and nutrition problems: from complicated medical issues, to the average healthy person wanting to get healthier. Uniquely, registered dietitians use the most up to date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease, which they translate into practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices. As professionals, we take the whole person into account, realizing that every person and situation is unique in and of itself.

Please keep in mind that anyone can call themselves a "nutritionist" but to call yourself a Registered Dietitian, you must have met the following:

1.    Completed an academic undergraduate program that meets the requirements set forth by the American Dietetic Association (ADA)
2.    Completed pre-professional training in an approved internship program
3.    Successfully completed and passed the Registration Examination for Dietetics to receive the RD credential
4.    Maintain the proper amount (and approved) continuing education credits every 5 years to keep your RD credential up to date and valid.
