Please keep in mind that anyone can call themselves a "nutritionist" but to call yourself a Registered Dietitian, you must have met the following:
1. Completed an academic undergraduate program that meets the requirements set forth by the American Dietetic Association (ADA)
2. Completed pre-professional training in an approved internship program
3. Successfully completed and passed the Registration Examination for Dietetics to receive the RD credential
4. Maintain the proper amount (and approved) continuing education credits every 5 years to keep your RD credential up to date and valid.
